Bath~

Bath is a lovely town laced with canals and delicate buildings in the southwest region of Europe.  Famed for its Roman baths (hence the name) it is also great for walking around and shopping. As mentioned, the Roman Bath museum is one of its largest tourist attractions, and despite being busy it is well worth the trip. Though I have few photos, it is only due to it being more interesting to experience rather than photograph everything. The water is surprisingly quite warm and you can taste water from a separate source at the end. Warm and metallic taste, but worth it.  This was taken from the spot where the statue of Julius Caesar was The town itself is gorgeous with distinctly European townhouses. Pulteney Bridge is also another noteworthy spot as the bridge supports shops and a road across it.   We were given a guide of the canals and walked along them. Peaceful and scenic, you may also get to watch the use of the locks; mov...

Cochem Another picturesque town in Germany that sits on the Mosul river. With a quiet atmosphere and the great water views, it makes for a great town to visit. Surrounded by hills, the town has some interesting finds when walking around. To go from one side to the other is an easy walk across the bridge, and you'll find some amazing works of art on the way. Wall feature Cochem Castle Its main feature is the gorgeous castle overlooking the town. Well preserved and grand, its perfect to visit and to photo from a distance. The pointed roofing a definitive aspect of the castle and makes it stand out from miles away.  Not only this, the town is labyrinth of small stores and antiques, which you will continually find new things and new places to visit. There's also some amazing ice cream stores, if you can find them.    Overall a lovely peaceful town, with stunning views and a great vibe. Would recommend Author: Jess Harper ...

Heidelberg~

Heidelberg Yet another gorgeous location in Germany, this town is lively and teeming with life. Not only is it an amazing place to sight see, it also has plenty of history and the shopping is fabulous. To the streets~! The main streets are always bustling and street performers are regulars in this town. On this particular day we found some people playing Alphorn's. Quite an interesting sight if you've never seen them before. Alphorn players Kornmarkt Once you've made you're way through the twisty turny streets you'll stumble upon the Kornmarkt. This is the central square to the town of old and served as simple trading market as the name does suggest. Central to it is the historical and intricate Madonna Statue that has been around since 1718. From the market, you can see the Heidelberg Castle atop the hill.  Kornmarkt Station; a station for an odd machine called a Funicular. Two carriages attached by cables counterbalance each o...

Germany~

↠Germany↞ Goslar Gose River Hallo~! Germany is a stunning place, with some of the quaintest of villages and friendly people you’ll meet around the globe. Recently returning from a seven week trip across Europe, Germany would be my favourite of the places I visited. Goslar, Germany One village I stayed in was a town called Goslar, a pretty and peaceful town in lower Saxony. With traditional architecture and canals, it was a beautiful place to visit; its history and sites a bonus on the side.  There's an old building with a glockenspiel that plays everyday in the middle of the square and would recommend seeing it at least once!  Despite only being  in Goslar for three days, it stood out to me as one of the loveliest places to go to. If you're feeling in a peripatetic mood, Goslar is definitely a stunning place to visit, if you're looking for a quiet and quaint town.  Author: Jessica Harper
